Easy recipe for bread dough twisted into cute, soft and delicious bunny rolls and served with cream cheese fluff.

The recipe is done in a bread machine, However, if you’re into bread making at all then you’ll see that this dough is incredibly easy to make with or without a bread machine!

Then we roll and shape it to bunnies, top it with melted butter, and sprinkle it with cinnamon-sugar; resulting in the most delicious cinnamon bunny bread-sticks ever!

This is such a fun activity to do with kiddos. Mine love it and ask to do it every year. Even the teenagers. It’s just a great memory maker :).

How to make Bunny Shaped Rolls

TO SHAPETHE CINNABUNNIES:

  1. Roll the dough into a long rectangle.
  2. Then cut 1 x 12 inch strips.
  3. Holding the strip by the middle, folded in half, twist the two sides around each other twice.
  4. Then lay flat on a tray and pull the “ears” of the bunny just a bit to make them more pointed and long at their ends.
  5. Use any leftover dough to roll into little balls and then place in the rounded part as a “tail”.
  6. Now, brush with butter and then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar combination.
  7. Then bake them.
  8. Finally, when finished with baking; brush and sprinkle them one more time.

Ingredients

    Breadmaker Dough

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cube butter (8TBS or 1/2 cup)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 c sugar
  • 1 TBS salt
  • 4 c all purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Instant yeast
  • Cinnamon Filling

  • 3-4 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 1/2 cup White Sugar
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
  • Dash of Salt
  • Combine all ingredients and stir until well incorporated.
  • Cream Cheese Fluff Ingredients

  • 1/2 c heavy whipping cream
  • 4oz room temperature cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 TBS milk
  • 3/4 c powder sugar
  • Dash of salt

Instructions

    The Cinnamon Bread-sticks (Or CinnaBunnies) from Start to Finish

  1. In the listed ingredients order, place ingredients in bread machine, starting with the eggs on the bottom and ending with the yeast at the very top above the flour.
  2. Set bread machine to "regular" dough cycle.
  3. Wait (usually a little less than 2 hours) while it makes your dough.
  4. When finished, let the dough rise for an extra 30 minutes.
  5. Then remove dough and on a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a large rectangle.
  6. Roll the dough into a long rectangle.
  7. Then cut 1 x 12 inch strips.
  8. Shape into bunnies.
  9. Now, brush with half of the melted butter and then sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar combination.
  10. Let rise for 1-2 hours (Depending on the warmth of your rising area), Until 1.5 times their original size.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 minutes.
  12. Brush down with the remaining butter and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
  13. Let Cool for ten minutes and then Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.and then dip in Cream Cheese Fluff.
  14. Enjoy!
  15. Instructions for making the Cream Cheese Fluff

  16. Whip your heavy cream until it is thick and formng peaks.
  17. In a separate bowl, mix well the cream cheese, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  18. Then add the powder sugar and salt and continue mixing until well incorporated.
  19. Spoon together your whipped cream and your cream cheese mixture.
