Alicia Evans (Gilman) 51, passed away suddenly on January 31, 2022. Alicia was known by many as generous, hardworking and a wonderful mother, partner, and friend. Alicia lived out most of her life in New Jersey until 2013 when she moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Alicia and her life partner Richard DelPazzo started a dream of theirs in 2015 by opening Northern Bites Cafe where friends and family worked together to bring a little piece of New Jersey to South Carolina.
Alicia was loved by all who met her and got to witness her selflessness for her friends and family. She will forever be remembered by her life partner of 15 years Richard DelPazzo. She will be missed dearly by her children John Evans Jr, Alaina Evans, and Alexa DelPazzo. She is also survived by her brothers Charles W. Genarie, Scott M. Genarie, Alton Gilman III, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with family she is also survived by many friends who have become like family since moving to South Carolina.
She is predeceased by her father Alton Gilman Jr, her step father Frank J. Morrow, and her mother Alice B. Morrow (Cathers).
She was a best friend, shoulder to cry on, and support system for all. Her laugh and the way she carried herself will be remembered forever. Alicia never did anything with half effort, it was as she would say “go big or go home” even for the most simple of things. She would want to be remembered in the happiest way and we all will hold her close forever.
The memorial service will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home (910 67th Ave N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29572) on Sunday, February 6th. Visitation will start at 1pm and the memorial service will begin at 2pm. All friends and family are welcome to join us in celebration of the amazing life Alicia lived.
